An alumna asked about self-employment books

An alumna who particpated in our Looking at Options for Self-Employment webinar asked, "Are there a few books that you or the panelists would recommend specifically related to self-employment?"

Victoria Gheorghe, Assistant Director, Illinois Small Business Development Center Institute for Entrepreneurial Studies College of Business Administration University of Illinois at Chicago, recommended the following:

  • “The 4-hour work week” by Timothy Ferriss
  • “You Need to Be a Little Crazy: The Truth about Starting and Growing Your Business” by Barry Moltz
  • “The E-Myth Revisited: Why Most Small Businesses Don't Work and What to Do About It” by Michael E. Gerber
  • Also, books by the Planning Shop and Rhonda Abrahams like “Passion to Profit”.
