Their tips to alumni pursuing these career options included:
- Become a local expert - This starts with educating yourself and getting involved with committees and local opportunities. Start by participating in local events and professional meetings, first as an attendee but then as a volunteer and/or coordinator.
- Have an entrepreneurial mindset - Look for opportunities to save money, reduce inefficiencies and increase engagement
- Transform what you are already doing - "Green" the job you have in order to build your skills and reputation in this area.
