Constituent Leadership Award

This award is presented to alumni who have demonstrated extraordinary leadership and/or special efforts in the organization, management and support of a Constituent Alumni Association.

2010 Recipients

When the College of Engineering created the Department of Industrial and Enterprise Systems Engineering, Frederick V. Chin ’75 ENG, MBA ’77, played a key role in structuring the IESE alumni board, on which he sits, to help create a successful transition. He is president of Universal Chemicals & Coatings, a technology company in Elgin.

Director of consumer promotions at Sara Lee, a global products corporation headquartered in Downers Grove, Bruce A. Miller ’89 BUS, MS ’90 MEDIA, has been a member of the UI College of Media Alumni Board since 1996 and now serves as its president. He is credited with a range of achievements, which include boosting the number of active board members and increasing alumni engagement with the College of Media, especially in Chicago.
