Though their parents are Purdue University graduates, these two potential little Illini fans are lucky enough to have grandparents who are Illinois alums: George '76 BUS and Kathy Luken Schenkel, MFA '72. Kathy jokingly said her grandchildren root for the Illini when their parents "allow it." It's probably a safe bet that the kids can cheer for Illinois at grandma and grandpa's house.
