Alumni Awards Dinner

Presented annually by the University of Illinois Alumni Association in the Ballroom of the Alice Campbell Alumni Center, the Alumni Awards Dinner takes place during Commencement weekend and honors alumni for distinguished service, humanitarianism and professional achievement. As well as a cocktail reception and dinner, the evening features remarks from the Alumni Association president and CEO and an inspiring awards presentation by the University's president and chancellor.

2010 Recipients

Alumni Achievement Award
James M. Benson ’68 LAS is honored for his outstanding success in the financial sector and his exemplary work with athletes with physical and cognitive disabilities.

Alumni Humanitarian Award
Dr. Dennis Warner ’63 ENG, ’63 LAS, MS ’66 ENG, is honored for his selfless commitment to emergency relief for the world’s most vulnerable populations.

Distinguished Service Award
Janet Turney Mulvaney ’58 ACES and Merle L. Mulvaney ’58 ACES are honored for their tireless efforts to forge lasting connections for the University of Illinois in the nation’s capital.
