2010 Recipients

James Dorociak ’81 PHARM, ’83 PHARMD
College of Pharmacy

James Dorociak joined the College of Pharmacy Alumni Board in 2003 and currently serves as its president. During his tenure, he has helped the board expand to 30 members. A Presidents Council member, Dorociak serves as director of medical affairs for Sanofi-aventis. He is a strong advocate for mentor programming, and he frequently works with pharmacy students at the College’s mentoring events.

Richard A. Schmidt ’83 ENG, MS ’91 ENG
College of Engineering

Richard A. Schmidt is a tireless champion for the College of Engineering. In addition to endowing a scholarship for students, he has been an advocate for the College via his service on the Engineering Alumni Association Board, including a term as president. A UIAA Sustaining Life Member, Schmidt helped transform the College’s annual Career Prep Day into a major biannual event for young engineers.
