Membership Levels
Member – All University of Illinois alumni and students are regarded as members of the University of Illinois Alumni Association. Faculty, staff, parents of students and friends of the University may become members, upon request, by contacting the Alumni Association.
When you upgrade your membership with a gift to the Alumni Association, you help provide unique programs, services, information and resources to build meaningful connections and relationships among the University family.
Sustaining Member – a member who has made an annual gift of $50 or more. The designation of Sustaining Member is for a full year from the date the contribution is recorded.
Life Member – a member who became a Life Member prior to June 30, 2008, or a member who has made $1,000 in cumulative gifts to Alumni Association-designated funds. (Credit is given for previous gifts to the Alumni Association since 1994, excluding membership dues, plus all contributions, including sustaining membership payments made after July 1, 2008.)
Sustaining Life Member – a fully vested Life Member who has made an additional gift of $50 or more during the year.
Joint membership and gift credit is accorded to spouses or life partners,
upon request.
