As a Student Member, and especially as a new graduate, you probably have lots of stuff to take care of. Membership in the UIAA includes the following benefits to help with your financial needs, keep you informed, prepare you for grad school, and assist with traveling, transitioning, moving, etc.:
Insurance
Established in 1973, the University of Illinois group insurance program is now
one of the largest alumni plans in the country. Alumni Association members are
eligible to apply for affordable insurance plans including:
- Short-term major medical insurance to cover you between the time your student insurance expires and the time your health care coverage begins at your new job
- Automobile or renter's insurance at favorable UIAA's Group Savings Plus rates
- Accident insurance
- Long-term care insurance

Campus Recreation
Take care of your body while working out on campus even after you graduate. Alumni
Association members may use campus recreation and fitness facilities for a nominal
fee. Daily and annual options are available.
Library Privileges
Members of the Alumni Association may borrow books and utilize the services from
University of Illinois libraries, including those facilities on the Urbana-Champaign,
Chicago and Springfield campuses, as well as the Health Science Libraries at
Chicago, Peoria, Rockford and Urbana. (Remote access to library databases is
not necessarily included; check with the staff of each library.)

Credit Union
Experience the credit union difference. Alumni Association members can take advantage
of the UIECU's full range of financial services, including auto loans, personal
loans, cash and check cards, share certificates, IRAs, checking accounts and
