Illinois grad wins international Rose of Tralee competition
Ireland’s 57th annual Rose of Tralee Festival culminated with the naming of the Rose of Tralee, and one of Chicago’s own took home the crown.
Maggie McEldowney, ’11 MEDIA, of Beverly, Ill., who represented Chicago in the international competition, beat 64 other women who hailed from Ireland’s many counties as well as from cities such as Dubai, Sydney, Toronto and, in the U.S., Boston, New Orleans and San Francisco.
