(Anti)Racism at Work: Developing the Skills to Address Racism in Professional Settings

Please join us for the first workshop in our Career Connections program! Ross Wantland, Director of Curriculum Development and Education in the Office of the Vice Chancellor for Diversity, Equity & Inclusion, will lead a workshop on modern-day racism in professional settings, like workplaces and graduate classrooms. The workshop will focus on the personal skills for addressing racism and building antiracist and fair-minded spaces.

Ross Wantland works with the University of Illinois Office of the Vice Chancellor for Diversity, Equity & Inclusion supporting campus units to create fair-minded and socially just organizations. Previously, Ross has worked in Diversity & Social Justice Education and the Women’s Resources Center. Ross lives in Champaign with his partner, child, and their expanding pandemic garden.
