Erica Markovitz MS Food and Nutrition Sciences
Erica completed her undergraduate degree in Food Science and Human Nutrition with a concentration in Dietetics at the University of Illinois in 2016. She then completed her combined Master of Science/Dietetic Internship at Ohio University in 2018. Currently she works for Heinen’s grocery store as a Wellness Consultant helping both customers and associates learn about how food and nutrition can promote both mental and physical well-being. Upon passing her board exam, she will then practice as a Registered Dietitian
“My goal is to help individuals develop a healthy relationship with food with a simplistic mindset. As nutrition is completely individualized, it is my goal to help people find what works best for them. We unfortunately live in a society where social media dictates our health beliefs to a high degree. I hope to help others find their own voice within all of the chaos and realize that the key to finding peace with food is not through dietary fads and trends but, instead through short term changes that lead to long term behavior change. If your mental health is not made a priority, it can be hard for physical health to follow suit. These two aspects of health should always be coexisting as one, leading to a lifestyle that is sustainable and brings you happiness that translates throughout all aspects of your life.”
Registration is required for this event. But hurry! Space is limited to 30 attendees!
