Outing includes a special tour of the veterinary hospital!
Join the D.C. Illini on Saturday, June 27, 2015, at the Smithsonian National Zoological Park in Washington, D.C.
In addition to exploring the 163-acre park, home to 2,000 individual animals of nearly 400 different species, participants will also have the unique opportunity to visit the zoo’s veterinary hospital with Illinois alum Dr. Samantha Sander and learn what happens behind the scenes at this popular tourist destination.
Our group will meet at 1:00 p.m. with the tour starting at 1:30 p.m. and lasting ~30-45 minutes. This event and admission to the zoo are free (if you are driving to the zoo, you will be responsible for paying for parking) and open to currently paid D.C. Illini members or registered recent graduates and their guests only. Not a member? Become one here!
Register by clicking the link to the right! To guarantee that everyone is able to see while on the tour, space is limited and registration will be capped, so be sure to register early!
