Four fellow Illini in the U.S. Navy took the time to show their school spirit while serving their country last fall. Lieutenant Commander Samuel Morrison, ’01 ENG; Lieutenant Matthew Egeland, ’10 LAS; Capt. Jose Pedroza, ’93 LAS, ’95 UIC, DDS ’97 UIC; and Lieutenant Jacob “Jake” Reed, ’06 LAS, are pictured aboard the USS George Washington (CVN-73) as it passes through the Straits of Magellan along South America’s southern tip in November 2015.
