I’s on the World: Perfectly Nice Time

Oh, the places we go … University of Illinois alumni are globetrotters who travel near and far, but never forget their Alma Mater!

Oh, the places we go … University of Illinois alumni are globetrotters who travel near and far, but never forget their Alma Mater!

Jay Bernstein, ’92 BUS, and Shelly Pearson, ’91 UIC, enjoyed the Mediterranean Sea in the south of France during their visit to Nice. The couple journeyed with a group in celebration of a mutual friend’s 50th birthday.

“There were 20 of us,” he says, “living, eating and exploring together in a beautiful chalet in Peymeinade,” once the summer home of Brigitte Bardot.  The couple also enjoyed Cannes, Antibes, Eze and St. Paul de Vence. This was Bernstein’s first time in Europe, a trip he’s planned since his days of studying international finance during the cold Champaign-Urbana winters.
