The Big Picture: Virtual game on!

Illini have a host of leading-edge technologies at their fingertips to create virtual worlds and complex computer gaming scenarios thanks to Illinois Esports, a program that’s part of the Center for Innovation in Teaching & Learning’s Innovation Spaces. Imaginations can run wild with 3D printing and design, digital inking, laser cutting and VR/AR/MR/XR extended reality. CITL’s “real” spaces feature the Innovation Studio, a high-tech experiential learning classroom with powerful gaming computers, virtual reality headsets and a multi-touch video wall.
