I’s on the World: Greek Getaway

A cruise through the idyllic world of the Greek islands last summer took Bryan Terry, ’90 LAS, son Xavier and nephew Tyson on a true adventure, as none had ever traveled outside the U.S. before. “It was great fun seeing the looks on the boys’ faces as they took in the churches and the architecture [and] tasted exotic new dishes such as baklava and lamb,” says Terry, a senior vice president at Oak Point (formerly Resurrection) University in Oak Park, Ill. Coming ashore on the island of Delos, renowned for its ancient architecture and alluring connections to mythology and history, the threesome paused for this photo. Terry had originally planned the cruise in celebration of his older son, Avery, and his newly awarded degree from the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill. But shortly after graduation, Avery landed a job, opening up a berth for his cousin, Tyson.
