University of Illinois students are invited to advocate for higher education at the State Capitol. Attendees will network and converse with legislators, advocate for the issues that matter most to students, and enrich their résumés.
Be the voice of the University of Illinois.
Higher education in Illinois stands at a crossroads. Even though we’re well into FY16, there’s still no higher education budget.
State funding is important.
The University of Illinois uses state funding to help maintain its campuses, recruit pre-eminent professors, invest in new technologies and, most importantly, provide grants and scholarships to bright, deserving students like you.
Students, we need your help!
Become an advocate for the University of Illinois and higher education at the annual University of Illinois Student Day at the Capitol. Network with your fellow student leaders while learning the ins and outs of how to converse with state legislators, advocate for the issues that matter the most to you, and enrich your résumé.
Participation in this event is free, meals and transportation will be provided by the University of Illinois Alumni Association’s legislative advocacy network, Illinois Connection.
