October 13 Depart Gateway City

AHI FlexAir passengers depart for London, England. Please check your luggage from your gateway city to your arrival city. Your claim checks should have the following airport code: LHR.

October 14 London, England | Bath

Arrive at London’s Heathrow Airport. Proceed through immigration to the baggage claim area and retrieve your luggage. After completing customs, AHI FlexAir passengers traveling on flights that qualify for the group arrival transfer and Land Program passengers who have purchased seats on the group transfer should exit the baggage claim area and proceed to the Arrivals Hall, where an AHI Travel representative will meet you.

Transfer to Bath and check in to Francis Hotel Bath.

October 15 Bath

Discovery: Bath Walking Tour.

Trace rich history as you walk through the well-preserved city of Bath, a beautiful UNESCO World Heritage site nestled along the River Avon. Bath was built around the only natural hot spring in Great Britain, and the city was originally an exclusive spa getaway for European aristocrats. View the Roman Baths, and see artifacts offered to Sulis, the healing goddess, as well as remnants of an ancient heating system. Admire the stunning architecture of Bath Abbey, Pulteney Bridge and the 18th-century Georgian Royal Crescent, a row of 30 terraced houses with Georgian façades and Romanesque columns.

Free Time: Enjoy time at leisure to make your own discoveries in this sophisticated city. You may wish to relax at the Thermae Bath Spa or visit Bath’s Fashion Museum, which houses a collection of archaic costumes.

October 16 Longleat | Stourhead

English estates are markers of former wealth and power and each has a story to tell. Listen to narratives about the privileged landowners of some of England’s grandest properties.

England’s stately homes are a true delight to behold. Admire the Tudor façade of Longleat and wander through its lavish interior, which is modeled after estates in Venice and Genoa. See family portraits, Flemish tapestries and opulent art in the great hall. Outside, explore the estate’s pretty grounds with Europe’s longest hedge maze and gardens designed by Capability Brown. Travel to Stourhead, a National Trust estate, to stroll its 18th-century, Arcadian-designed gardens. October 17 Bath | Port Isaac | Falmouth

After breakfast, depart for your full-day transfer to Falmouth. Journey across the Tamar River into a vision of rural England with undulating valleys, genteel villages and craggy coastlines.

Discover the nautical ambience of Port Isaac, a village nestled atop dramatic, rocky cliffs. Port Isaac is the epitome of an authentic fishing village. Known as a favorite destination for film and television productions, the village is currently featured in the British TV series Doc Martin. During your walking tour, see Fern Cottage, a stone bungalow that once served as Doc Martin’s office in the popular show. Then learn about Port Isaac’s maritime history while viewing the village’s historical buildings, whitewashed cottages and cobbled lanes.

October 19 St. Ives | Marazion

Free Time: Indulge in leisure time in charming St. Ives. You may choose to visit the Tate St. Ives, a branch of the national Tate galleries, and the Barbara Hepworth Museum and Sculpture Garden. October 20 Falmouth | Plymouth | Exeter

Following breakfast, transfer to Exeter via Plymouth.

The city of Plymouth welcomes visitors with its vibrant history and stunning natural harbor. This popular ocean city was once an important port for the Royal Navy and is recognized as the home seaport for many renowned seafaring adventurers — three of Captain Cook’s voyages sailed from here. See the Mayflower Steps, which stand tribute to the Pilgrim Fathers’ point of departure aboard The Mayflower in 1620. Then learn more about this epic journey to the New World during your visit to the Mayflower Museum.

Relax and dine in a Plymouth restaurant for lunch.

Discovery: A Taste of Gin.
Activity level: Moderate
After lunch, tour the Plymouth Gin Distillery, England’s oldest working gin distillery that was originally built as a monastery. The distillery has been producing gin in the same still for over 150 years and uses water that comes from Dartmoor National Park. Enjoy tasting the gin’s smooth flavors and unique ingredients, including juniper berries, lemon peel and cardamom. The original 1793 recipe is still used today!

Free Time: Join the Elective Activity this afternoon or enjoy free time in Exeter. You may wish to try afternoon tea with scones, jam and clotted cream or revel in the city’s medieval bridges and cobbled alleys during a leisurely walk. Museum aficionados may enjoy the fascinating exhibits about world cultures at the Royal Albert Memorial Museum and Art Gallery.

Elective Activity: Exploring Dartmoor National Park.

Explore the rugged beauty of Dartmoor National Park. Enter a landscape dotted with ancient woodlands, gurgling streams and granite tors. Wander down an inviting footpath and spot grazing sheep or the miniature Dartmoor ponies, which are descendants of the Celtic pony. October 22 Exeter | Salisbury | London

Following breakfast, depart for London via Salisbury. You journey takes you through a landscape of rural settlements, heaths, woodlands and chalky hillsides.

Visit Salisbury, Wiltshire’s only city, known for its lively arts community and tangle of small lanes. Tour the 13th-century Salisbury Cathedral, one of Europe’s most celebrated cathedrals. Its spire stretches to a lofty 404 feet, the tallest in England. See the cathedral’s Magna Carta, one of only four surviving original copies, and walk through an interactive exhibit.

After a group lunch, continue to London. Upon arrival, check in to Radisson Blu Edwardian, Vanderbilt.

October 23 London

Discovery: London Walking Tour.

Perhaps no other European capital excites the imagination and floods the mind with evocative images more than London. The city is a patchwork of architectural antiquity, historical monuments, great manicured swathes of green parkland and cozy neighborhood pubs. Hop on the Tube this morning and take in these special sites today during a walking tour. See the magnificent landmarks you’ve always heard about — Westminster Abbey, Buckingham Palace, the Tower of London, Big Ben and the Houses of Parliament on the River Themes, plus Trafalgar Square, St James’s Palace and much more!

Free Time: Spend the remainder of the day at leisure in London. Looking for more history? Head to Churchill’s War Rooms. London also has some of the world’s best museums, including the British Museum or the Victoria & Albert Museum. Or you may want to spend the day shopping in London’s famous department stores. Harrods, Selfridges, Fortnum & Mason are among the best known.
Tonight, gather for a Farewell Reception and Farewell Dinner at the hotel.

After breakfast, bid farewell to London.
