Arrive at Zürich airport, where your AHI Travel representative will escort you to the Hotel Carlton-Europe in Interlaken. Located between Lake Thun and Lake Brienz, Interlaken will be your home for the next several days. Take time to unpack or explore your new surroundings before tonight's convivial Welcome Reception and Dinner.

Kandersteg | Oeschinensee
Begin the day with a discussion about Switzerland’s mountaineering traditions. Then, set off to explore Switzerland’s scenic grandeur. Journey via train to Kandersteg, home to a daily main street cow procession, and enjoy a gondola ride to the turquoise Lake Oeschinen, perched 5,200 feet above sea level. Blankets of evergreens, crisp air and a wreath of snowcapped peaks — this is where relaxation awaits!

Brienz | Rothorn
While browsing the streets of Brienz, you may notice an abundance of hand-carved signs and sculptures, a nod to the city's wood-carving traditions. At the Brienz Rothorn Railway station, built in 1892, we'll step board a 100-year-old cogwheel steam train and embark on one of Switzerland’s prettiest mountain rides. Soak up epic panoramas as you soar over a carpet of forests, meadows and Lake Brienz to the top of the Rothorn. Tonight, enjoy a discussion on Swiss icons.

Lauterbrunnen Valley | Mürren
Journey by cable car through the Lauterbrunnen Valley, also known as the “Valley of 72 Waterfalls.” Arrive in Grütschalp and follow a gentle path to Winteregg, passing lush meadows and tapestries of blooming flowers. Once you reach Mürren, you may witness the peaks of Eiger, Monch and Jungfrau along with paragliders soaring above. Tonight, gather for a wonderful dinner accompanied by a local folkloric singing group.

Gruyères | Vevey
Transit the high Jaun mountain pass to Gruyères, one of Switzerland’s most whimsical villages. Along with heart-stopping scenery, Gruyères boasts a culinary appeal with its well-known cheese and chocolate factories. Today, sample a few locally made delicacies — gruyere cheese at a dairy farm and delectable confectionary at a Swiss chocolate factory. After, continue to Vevey, tucked along the shores of Lake Geneva, and check in to Astra Hotel Vevey.

Montreux | Lavaux
Discover the many highlights of this region, including Montreux, a French-speaking, stylish lakeside town that has inspired artists and literati for centuries. A cruise on Lake Geneva reveals spectacular vistas on the way to Château de Chillon, and the UNESCO-listed Lavaux Vineyards are a portrait of sun-kissed hills and rolling terraces. Today, you'll also learn about the region’s viniculture, visit a winery and enjoy a wine tasting and lunch.

Zermatt
Zermatt boasts a superlative location snuggled against a mountain backdrop. This car-free village has a trove of fanciful chalets while the mighty, pyramid-shaped Matterhorn dominates the skyline. Known as a hiking and skiing capital of the Valais region, this walkable village is big on traditional charm. You can choose to take a scenic hike or explore the town’s many tasteful shops and restaurants.

Vevey
Enjoy a full day at leisure in Vevey. Perhaps take a day trip to Lausanne or travel by boat into France to visit Évian-les-Bains, a pretty spa town set on the shores of Lake Geneva. Later tonight, gather one last time with your group of fellow adventurers. Share your favorite experiences and raise a toast to your Swiss sojourn at a Farewell Dinner.
