Lt. Ferguson was a B-17 pilot, and was shot down on a mission from England to Pilsen, Czechoslovakia. He served with the 398th Bombing Squadron of the 8th Air Force, based in England. His plan was named “Godfathers Inc.” He was a veteran of 26 missions and wore the Air Medal with 3 clusters. Lt. Ferguson was awarded the Purple Heart posthumously. He attended the University for one semester.
