Lt. Beguesse interned at the Homer G. Phillips Hospital in St. Louis, MO, where he was a fellow. He served a residency in tuberculosis at the Robert Koch Hospital in Koch, MO. He began active duty as a First Lieutenant in the Medical Corps, Army of the U.S., on July 5, 1945, and was on staff of the Veterans Administration Facility in Tuskegee, AL. Lt. Beguesse was killed near Tuskegee in the crash of a B-29 bomber.
