Cpl. Farver entered service on October 17, 1917. He was sent to Camp Taylor, Kentucky, and transferred to Camp Greene, North Carolina, and sent overseas in June, 1918. He served with Headquarters Company, 115th Field Artillery, 30th Division, AEF, France. Cpl. Farver died of pneumonia in Le Mans, France. He is buried at Eastlawn Cemetery, North Liberty, Indiana.
