T.-Sgt. Hamilton served with the 490th Bombardment Group, 8th Air Force. He was a top-turret gunner on a Flying Fortress when his plane was shot down over Holland. He had sailed for England in January, 1945, and earned the Air Medal with two clusters and the Presidential Unit Citation.
