Pfc. Diveley served with the 513th Parachute Infantry Regiment, 17th Airborne Division, and fought in the Battle of the Bulge. He died with many from his company when the plane they were on was hit by enemy fire over Germany. He is buried at Indian Creek Cemetery, Monticello, Indiana.
