Lt. Beadle served with a tank division of General Patton’s Third Army, 20th Infantry Battalion, 10th Armored Division. He received training at Fort Knox, Kentucky, and Fort Benning, Georgia. He was then transferred to Fort George Meade, Maryland, going overseas in December, 1944. He is buried at Luxembourg American Cemetery, Luxembourg City, Luxembourg, Plot A Row 3 Grave 11. Lt Beadle was awarded the Purple Heart.
