Oh, the places we go … University of Illinois alumni are globetrotters who travel near and far, but never forget their Alma Mater!

Oh, the places we go … University of Illinois alumni are globetrotters who travel near and far, but never forget their Alma Mater!

Debbie Olson Read, ’73 LAS, and her husband Rick Read stand near a waddle of penguins on an Antarctic shoreline during an Illinois Alumni Explorers tour to continental Antarctica this past February. The couple has participated on several trips with the Explorers program, which have taken them to three different continents and a number of historical and cultural sites, including the Incan citadel of Machu Picchu in southeastern Peru in 2016. Debbie and Rick say that they have “thoroughly enjoyed” their Illinois Alumni Explorers trips and highly recommend the program to other alumni.
