Timothy Nugent (Photo courtesy of College of AHS) Timothy J. Nugent HON ’1, founder of the Division of Disability Resources and Educational Services, has passed away. Nugent was the program’s first director when it was created in the 1940s and called the Rehabilitation Program, and fought for the rights of disabled persons throughout his career, as evidenced in this 2010 Illinois Alumni magazine article.
