Celebrate 150 Years with the Morrow Plots Snow Globe

For 150 years, the Morrow Plots have stood at the heart of the University of Illinois as a symbol of discovery, innovation, and growth.

Chosen by alumni to commemorate this milestone anniversary, the limited-edition 2026 Morrow Plots Snow Globe captures the beauty of the partially harvested plots as snow gently falls across one of the university’s most historic landmarks.

Whether you’re continuing your collection, displaying it on your desk, or sharing it with a fellow Illini, this collectible is a meaningful tribute to Illinois tradition and the pride that connects generations of alumni.

Support the G.E. Morrow Center Research Fund

When you join the University of Illinois Alumni Association as a member, part of your membership includes a charitable gift to the University of Illinois. This year’s charitable portion will support the G.E. Morrow Center Research Fund, helping preserve the legacy of the historic Morrow Plots while advancing research, education, and outreach.

G.E. Morrow Center Research Fund

The G.E. Morrow Center Research Fund supports the Morrow Plots—the nation’s oldest continuous agricultural experiment fields and a National Historic Landmark. As the Morrow Plots mark 150 years of discovery, the fund helps preserve this extraordinary living laboratory, expand educational opportunities, and share its story with future generations. It also supports the new Alma Mater Plots, a companion research site inspired by the Morrow Plots, where researchers can explore emerging agricultural questions alongside one of the world’s longest-running field experiments in the heart of campus.
