15. Greek Life

With 97 chapters and more than 7,000 members, UI’s sorority and fraternity system is the nation’s largest, representing about one-quarter of its undergraduate population. So, time to dispel some Greek myths: While good times roll in an amazing array of chapter houses, members regularly engage in service projects and philanthropy. Members are scholastically minded as well, as evidenced by their collective GPA. Finally, Greek life embraces diversity, with one-third of chapters culturally oriented.
