Journalism alumnus lands Edward R. Murrow Award
(Steve Ewert Photography) Charlie Meyerson, ’77 MEDIA, MS ’78 MEDIA, has won a 2016 national Edward R. Murrow Award for audio investigative reporting from the Radio Television Digital News Association. Meyerson led a team of colleagues at Rivet Radio—the app-based startup for which he is founding head of news—to report Our Glass Desk Exploded. Yours Could, Too, which took the top honor in the Small Online News Organization competition. This is the latest of dozens of awards he’s won in a broadcasting career that began in 1973 at Illini Media’s WPGU-FM.
