The Big Picture: Here’s Looking at You, Kids

Summer means movies on the Quad for Illinois film fans. Every week from May through August, the Illini Union Board sponsors free outdoor showings of Hollywood blockbusters, indie films, documentaries, and beloved classics. While most of the action happens on a giant, inflatable screen, there’s plenty of spectacle in the audience, as well, with moviegoers festooned in glow sticks and neon necklaces. This summer’s program includes crowd-pleasers such as Jaws, Jurassic Park, Back to the Future, Grease, and Ferris Bueller’s Day Off.
