After breakfast, join the discussion on the Velvet Revolution and then set out on a guided walk of this historic capital city. Stroll the heart of the old town past colorful baroque- and Gothic-style buildings and cathedrals. Stop at the Astronomical Clock, installed in 1410, to witness the mesmerizing hourly “Walk of the Apostles,” a procession of 12 wooden apostle figures appearing in the clock's two small windows.

Customize your day in Prague by choosing from (1) Discover the renowned spa town of Karlovy Vary on a walking tour, followed by a funicular ride up to Friendship Hill to admire panoramic views, or (2) Explore Český Krumlov's beautiful city center and marvel at Gothic, Renaissance and baroque architecture. After some free time in each town, transfer to the Elbe Princesse to begin your cruise and enjoy tonight's Welcome Reception and Dinner aboard the ship.

Day 5
Cruise the scenic Vltava River today as you glide past romantic Bohemian landscapes and the Slapy Dam to Štěchovice. Visit the 13th-century Konopiště Castle, an example of French-influenced fortification architecture, to be awed by the interior opulence within and collection of the late Archduke Franz Ferdinand's hunting trophies, medieval armor and weapons. Later, relish time at leisure in Štěchovice.

This morning, explore the Prague Castle complex with a guide. Admire the magnificent baroque Castle Square gate and the Castle Gallery, filled with renowned art. Stroll along the 16th-century Golden Lane to see the tiny, colorful cottages built into the castle’s fortifications, pass the Old Royal Palace and visit St. Vitus Cathedral, the castle's crown jewel. After lunch, discover Bohemia's rich Jewish life in Prague's historic Jewish Quarter, including a visit to the poignant Old Jewish Cemetery.

Day 7
Enjoy a morning of scenic cruising toward Kralupy, where you'll tour the Renaissance-style Nelahozeves Castle, once home to queens and princesses. Inside, marvel at the lavish rooms for a glimpse into a noble family's luxurious, baroque-period lifestyle and witness an 8th-century Gospel manuscript. Visit composer Antonín Dvořák's birthplace on the castle grounds and conclude with a wine tasting from the castle's vineyards. Tonight, meander around Mělník at leisure.

Drive to Dresden this morning for a full-day panoramic and walking tour of the royal city. Admire historic castles across the Elbe River, the iconic Blue Wonder bridge and the posh Weisser Hirsch neighborhood. Then, on a guided walk in the historic district, marvel at the opulent 18th-century Dresden Zwinger complex, the Hotel Taschenbergpalais, the Royal Castle and the Royal Catholic Cathedral. Visit the Green Vault museum or the Old Masters Gallery, followed by free time in Dresden.

Visit one of Bohemia’s oldest cities, established in the 10th century on the site of a Slavic fortress near the confluence of the Elbe and Ohře rivers.
