Lt. Hoga served with the U.S. Armored Tank Corps, 751st Tank Battalion. He died at Anzio, Italy after being wounded in battle fighting the Germans. He had been serving overseas for the past 15 months and was in both the African and Sicilian campaigns. He is buried at the Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, St. Louis, Missouri, Section 80 Site 247.
