Lt. Busby enlisted on June 28, 1941, in Chicago. He was stationed at Camp Roberts, California, and Fort Benning, Georgia. He attended Officers Candidate School. Lt. Busby died at Anzio, and is buried at Arlington National Cemetery, Washington, DC, Section 12 Site 7266. The late Raymond M. Peritz was Mr. Busby’s best friend, and Mr. Peritz named his son Edward B. Peritz after Mr. Busby.
