Lockport, IL
Lt. Graning served with a Night Fighter Squadron, 415th Army Air Force. He was killed while piloting a A20B Havoc night fighter over France; it is believed on a test flight. (A second son was born to his wife the next day.) Lt. Graning is buried at Lockport Cemetery, Lockport, Illinois.
