Captain Scott died as the result of injuries received in the crash of a C-47 aircraft shortly after takeoff from Tan Son Nhut Air Base in South Vietnam. Assigned to the 6250th Support Squadron, he was a navigator for Headquarters 7th Air Force and the U.S. Embassy.
