PFC Gansz served with the Chemical Weapons Service, 7th Chemicals-Aviation. After the fall of Bataan, PFC Gansz became a Prisoner of War of the Japanese Imperial Army at PW Camp #7, Corregidor, Philippines, where there were 40 other Americans. Gansz died in captivity.
