Lt. Isenberg died of injuries received in an automobile accident near Kewanee, Illinois. At the time, he was on terminal leave which was to end February 5, 1946. He interned at Mount Sinai Hospital, Chicago, and was commissioned in 1944 and was released from active duty December 26, 1945.
