Lt. Driver died in a plane crash at Walla Walla, Washington. He died with 11 other crew members when their B-17 bomber crashed during a routine flight, one mile west of Walla Walla Army Airfield. Lt. Driver is buried at Sunset Memorial Park, Danville, Illinois.
