Dr. Miller was a General Practice physician in Champaign, Illinois, before his war service. He served as a Lieutenant with the Medical Reserve Corps in the Army, with placement at Camp Greenleaf, Fort Oglethorpe, Georgia, and at the embarkation hospital, Camp Stewart, Virginia. Before his death at Champaign, Illinois, of influenza, Dr. Miller was on a leave of absence since December 1 from Camp Stewart, Newport News, Virginia. He is buried at Saint Mary of the Woods Cemetery, Princeville, Illinois.
