Sergeant Finley was a crew member of a B-24 Liberator that was shot down near Radovesice, Czechoslovakia. He and 2 other crew members were killed in action and 7 other crew members were taken prisoner. He is buried with crew member Tunis Gaalswyk at Ft. McPherson National Cemetery, Maxwell, Nebraska, Plot R Row 0 Grave 27.
