Private Edwards served with the 36th Armored Infantry Regiment, 3rd Armored Division. He was killed in action in Germany. He is buried at Plot H Row 7 Grave 33 in Henri-Chapelle American Cemetery, Henri-Chapelle, Belgium. He earned the Purple Heart.
