1991 Illio and UI Sports Information) With a determined look on his face, Illini swimmer Andy McVey ’91 LAS springs off the block in a swim meet from the early 1990s. McVey was an All-American for the now-defunct men’s swimming program.
Illini diver Sabine Taaffe’93 BUS reached the NCAA diving championships in 1990, finishing 10th in 3-meter diving and 14th in 1-meter. At the time, she was the third Illinois diver to notch All-America honors.
