I’s on the World: North to Alaska!
Oh, the places we go … University of Illinois alumni are globetrotters who travel near and far, but never forget their Alma Mater!
Rich and Janet Schroeder (left) reunite with Janet Kocal in Alaska. Kocal was a bridesmaid in the Schroeder’s wedding. Instead of walking down the aisle, this time the trio tried kayaking and dogsledding. Friends Rich Schroeder, ’77 BUS, Janet (Dalrymple) Schroeder, ’76 ED, and Janet Kocal, ’78 LAS, explored all that Alaska’s Denali State Park had to offer. The trio enjoyed kayaking and dogsledding, as well as a helicopter flight and a lush rain forest hike. Rich reminisced about the huge, abundant flowers and vivid sunsets well after 11 p.m., adding… “We would go again in a heartbeat.”
