Lt. Allen served with the 15th Tank Battalion, 6th Armored Division. He went into France on D-Day and was killed during the Battle of the Bulge. He is buried at Plot K Row 35 Grave 32 at Lorraine American Cemetery, St. Avold, France. He was awarded the Bronze Star and Purple Heart.
