Cpl. Brennan died in Letterman General Hospital, San Francisco, California, of a complication of tropical diseases resulting in carcinoma of the brain. He had served 15 months in the South Pacific as a radar operator when he became ill on Guam. Cpl. Brennan is buried at Oakland Cemetery, Carbondale, Illinois.
