Lt. Adams was a P-51 pilot in the 375th Fighter Squadron. He was killed in a raid over Germany when his aircraft was hit by a Me110 aircraft. Lt. Adams reportedly bailed out of his plane but was too low for his parachute to have enough time to develop.
