Oh, the places we go … University of Illinois alumni are globetrotters who travel near and far, but never forget their Alma Mater!

Adam Delgado, ’91 LAS, and his wife, Grace, brought shorts and sunglasses as well as their Illini spirit  to Rio De Janeiro in January of this year. During the couple’s nine-day vacation, they visited the iconic Christ the Redeemer statue at Mount Corcovado; Sugarloaf Mountain, which sits at the entrance to Guanabara Bay and overlooks the city; Brazil’s 2016 Summer Olympic Games venues; and Copacabana Beach, one of the most famous stretches of ocean and sand in the world, where they snapped this pic. Adam advises his fellow Illini to bring a Portuguese-English phrase book with them should they travel to Brazil, and notes that the exchange rate is good for Americans.
