Illinois named one of top universities in the world
(UI Public Affairs photo) The University of Illinois came in at No. 36 on Times Higher Education’s World University Rankings 2016-2017, which names the top 980 universities in the world, based on 13 calibrated performance indicators. The list mentions Illinois’ expansive library, four-theater Krannert Center for the Performing Arts, Sousa Archives Center for American Music, 23 residence halls, and many Nobel and Pulitzer Prize winners among its attributes.
