“I”s on the World: Illini say ‘I do’

Oh, the places we go … University of Illinois alumni are globetrotters who travel near and far, but never forget their Alma Mater!

It was an orange-and-blue wedding for Jann Waldhauser Lumbrazo, CNT ’94 AVI, ’97 LAS and Brian Lumbrazo ’07 AVI, who tied the knot in Itasca, Ill., on April 18, 2015. The couple’s bridesmaids and groomsmen, most of whom are fellow University of Illinois alumni, paid homage to their Alma Mater by dressing up in Illini hues for the special day. In fact, “our entire wedding was orange and blue—our favorite colors!” Jann says proudly. The bridal party even had their photo taken in front of a matching train car: a restored 1939 Milwaukee Road rib-side caboose that belongs to the Itasca Park District.

When they’re not celebrating all things Illinois, both newlyweds work as commercial pilots—Jann for United Airlines and Brian for SkyWest Airlines. The couple lives in Chicago.
